Ademix Epo Rp60

Epoxy Based, Anchorage, Assembly, Repair Mortar

Description:

It is an epoxy resin-based, two-component, thixotropic, structural adhesive, repair, anchorage, and assembly mortar.

Areas of Use:

It is used in structural concrete and cracks repairing, filling holes and gaps, anchor bolt embedment to reinforced concrete construction elements such as columns, beams, curtains, floors, etc, adhering all kinds of metal and steel parts to concrete, closing the outer surfaces before injection and fixing the parquets, fixing railing and earthquake dampers in structures such as bridges and viaducts.

Advantages:

It displays good performance with its high adherence.

It is resistant to the freeze-thaw cycle.

It provides high mechanical strength.

It is resistant to heavy load traffic.

It’s impermeable.

It has a highly thixotropic structure. It can be easily used in horizontal and vertical applications, it does not sag.

It is resistant to chemicals.

It does not shrink.

It is solvent-free.

Technical specifications:
Adhesion Strength: Steel ≥ 3.5 N/mm2

 Concrete ≥ 3.0 N/mm2

Flexural Strength: ≥ 25 N/mm² (7 days)

Compressive Strength: ≥ 60 N/mm² (7 days)

*The above values are valid for 28 days of performance that was obtained as a result of laboratory experiments.

Application Information :

Application Temperature: (+5°C) – (+30°C)
 Mixing Ratio: 3.75 kg Component A / 1.25 kg Component B

Mixing Density: 1,65±0,10 gr/cm³
Usable time: 40 minutes

Application Thickness: 2-30 mm

Average Consumption: 1.60-1.80 kg/m² (1 mm for thickness)

*These values are valid for 23°C and 50% relative humidity. Times may vary depending on ambient conditions.

Surface Preparation:

-The application surface should be made clean from dust, dirt, oil, paint residue, and similar foreign matters reducing adherence.

If the surface has low adherence, broken, loose parts, these parts must be removed from the surface.

-It is necessary to make sure that the application surface is dry.

– In applications to be made on metal surfaces, the surface should be cleaned from all kinds of waste that will prevent adhesion and f rust.

Mixture Preparation:

ADEMIX EPO RP60 component B should be added on component A and stirred with the help of a suitable mixer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained at 400-600 rpm and until the color of the mixture turns grey.

Application:

ADEMIX EPO RP60 can be applied with a spatula, trowel or refillable cartridge gun. ADEMIX EPO RP60 is filled into gaps that have already been prepared, starting from the bottom. Anchorage rod of the dimensions specified in the project should be placed by rotating slowly into the filled hole, and it should be observed that the material overflows outside the anchorage hole.

– The maximum application thickness should be 30mm in one coat.

– It should not be used again by adding water and similar substances into the hardened material.

– The prepared mixture should be consumed within 40 minutes. Mixtures of which the pot life is not expired or hardened mixtures should not be used.

-For the performance and technical values of the material to meet the specified data, for having no extension-shortening of workability and open holding times; it is recommended to apply in an environment with optimum humidity ratio, at the specified ambient and surface temperatures. – The pre-stored packages to be opened for application should be ready for use at an average of 25°C.

Warnings:

-The tools and equipment used must be cleaned with an appropriate solvent after application.

-The working environment should be well ventilated during the application.
-Gloves, glasses, and masks should be used during application.

-In case of contact with skin and eyes, it should be washed with plenty of water.
-The excess material smeared on the surface should be cleaned immediately before it hardens. Otherwise, it will need to be mechanically cleaned.
