Ademix 315 Epo Fuga

Epoxy Based Joint Filler

Epoxy Based Joint Filler

It is an epoxy resin-based, double component, resistant to chemicals and bacteria, easy to apply epoxy resin-based adhesive and joint filler.

It is used in milk and dairy products, beer and wine industry, meat, fish, canning and beverage industry, medicine, paint and paper industry, hygienic and wet areas such as hospitals, laboratories, dining halls, kitchens and laundries, wastewater and treatment facilities, thermal swimming pools, mineral water/salt tanks, zoo and industrial chemistry facilities; for adhesion of coatings such as granite, ceramic, marble and mosaic and filling of joint gaps in the interior – exterior, vertical – horizontal applications.

It has high chemical, acid, alkaline, bacteria, and abrasion strength value.

It has antibacterial properties; does not allow bacteria, mold, and dirt to form.

It’s easy to clean.

It is resistant to freeze-thaw effects.

With its flexible structure, its resistance to surface movements and tensions, caused by temperature differences, is increased.

It is suitable for use under medium load and in areas where there is a lot of human circulation.

It provides waterproofing against leaks.

It has high pressure and abrasion strength.

It is suitable for drinking water contact.

It provides excellent adhesion.

It does not allow slipping in vertical surface applications.

Shear Adhesion Strength:

-Start ≥ 2 N/mm²

-After Immersion in Water ≥ 2 N/mm²

-After Thermal Shock ≥ 2 N/mm²

Slipping: ≤ 0.5mmFlexural Strength: ≥ 30 N/mm²
Compression Strength: ≥ 45 N/mm²
 Abrasion Strength: ≤ 250 mm³
Shrinkage: ≤ 1,5 mm/m
Water Absorption: ≤ 0,1 in 240 min.
Temperature Resistance: (-20°C) – (+80°C)

*The above values have been obtained through laboratory tests and are valid for 28 days of the performance.

Application Temperature: (+10°C) – (+30°C)
 Mixing Ratio: 5 kg Component A / 0.2 kg Component B
Open Holding Time: 20 minutes

Application thickness: 2–10 mm

Time to Put Into Use: 24 hours

Time to Put Into Use for Chemical Resistance: 7 Days

Consumption: 250-2000 gr/m² (It varies according to the tile size, thickness, and joint width.)

*These values are valid for 23°C of temperature and 50% relative humidity. Times may vary depending on ambient conditions.

-The application surface should be made clean from dust, dirt, oil, paint residue, and similar foreign matters reducing adherence.

– A suitable primer should be used for applications on excessively absorbent surfaces.

– It should be ensured that the surface to be applied is dry, and its moisture is at most 5%.

ADEMIX 315 EPO FUGA component B is slowly added to component A, stirred with the help of a low-speed mixer. Continued stirring for an average of 4 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Application as a ceramic adhesive:

ADEMIX 315 EPO FUGA should be prepared in such a way that it can be consumed during the open holding period (20 minutes), and the application must be completed within this period. It should be determined that the application surface is dry. The desired thickness is obtained by using the appropriate comb. The optimum thickness is 2 mm. The application is completed by leaving the joint gap according to the ceramic dimensions. Joint filling can be started after an average of 24 hours.

Application as joint filler:

ADEMIX 315 EPO FUGA can be applied with a trowel or a gun. ADEMIX 315 EPO FUGA mixture to be applied with a trowel is poured from the mixing bowl onto the surface to be applied. Joint gaps are filled by propagating over ceramics with the help of a trowel. Wait for the material to subside and to set into the joint.

The material overflowing from the joint gap is stripped from the surface with suitable methods. It’s waited for 20 minutes on average and the ceramic surfaces are cleaned with the help of a soft sponge dipped in hot water with detergent. End the joint filling application after cleaning.

ADEMIX 315 EPO FUGA mixture, which will be applied with the help of a muzzleloader gun, is filled into the joint gaps. After the joints are filled, the material should be waited to subside and set in the joint. The material overflowing from the joint gap is stripped from the surface with suitable methods. It’s waited for 20 minutes on average and the ceramic surfaces are cleaned with the help of a soft sponge dipped in hot water with detergent. End the joint filling application after cleaning.

*The residues on the ceramics can be cleaned with the help of a sponge with detergent dipped in hot water, 7 hours on average after joint filling.

-It is OK to walk on it after 24 hours.

-For the performance and technical values of the material to meet the specified data, for having no extension-shortening of workability and open holding times, it is recommended to apply in an environment with optimum humidity ratio, at the specified ambient and surface temperatures.

– The pre-stored packages to be opened for application should be ready for use at an average of 25°C.

– It should not be used again by adding water and similar substances into the hardened material.

-The completed application should be protected from heavy weather conditions for 24 hours. (Intense sun, wind, frost, rain, etc.)

-The equipment used must be cleaned after application. All necessary Occupational Health and Safety measures must be taken in the application areas. All work safety equipment, such as work clothes, protective gloves/goggles /mask, should be used during the application in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety rules. Ventilation of the working area is required. Warehouse and stock areas should not be approached with fire. Contact of the product with the skin and eyes should be prevented, in such a case, the contacted part of the skin should be washed with plenty of water and medical attention is required immediately. Food and beverages should also not come into contact with the product. It should be kept out of reach of children.
