Epoxy Based Grout Mortar
Ademix Epoxy Grout 888
Epoxy Based Grout Mortar
Description:
Epoxy Based, Three Component, Chemical Resistant, High Strength, Self-Locating Grout Mortar.
Areas of Use:
It is used for filling holes and voids, fixing rails, anchoring brackets, anchoring bolts and pins, planting sprouts and fixing injection dowels, anchoring machines to concrete, machine foundations, adhering metal profiles to concrete, fixing turbines, generators, compressors, pumps, industrial machines in power plants, in the bearing areas of dynamic load-effect structures such as steel suspension bridges, tower cranes, ports, breakwaters, piers, etc. used in the maintenance and repair of marine structures.
Product Advantages:
Thanks to its fluid consistency, it can settle spontaneously.
It does not contain solvent.
It provides ease of application without primer.
It gives excellent results in adherence to concrete and steel.
It does not shrink (without shrinkage).
It has high early strength.
It is resistant to heavy load traffic.
It provides high chemical and mechanical resistance.
It is resistant to liquids and steam.
It is resistant to freezing and thawing.
Technical specifications:
Adhesion Strength (Concrete): ≥ 2 N / mm²
Adhesion Strength (Steel) ≥ 3,5 N / mm²
Flexural Strength: ≥ 8 N / mm²
Compressive Strength: ≥ 35 N / mm² (1 day)
Compressive Strength: ≥ 80 N / mm² (7 days)
*The above values are valid for 28 days of performance that was obtained as a result of laboratory experiments.
Application Information:
Application Temperature: (+5 ° C) – (+35 ° CProcessing time: 30 minutes
Application Thickness: 5-50 mm
Average Consumption: 2-2,2 kg/m² (for 1 mm thickness)
*These values are valid for 23°C and 50% relative humidity. Times may vary depending on ambient conditions.
Surface Preparation:
-It is necessary to make sure that the surface to be applied is dry and its moisture is at most 4%.
In applications to be made on metal surfaces; the surface must be free of any materials that will prevent rust and adhesion.
– On epoxy surfaces, the surface should be cleaned by abrasive with sandpaper.
-In the assembly of the machine; The foundation concrete on which the machine will sit must be cleaned of all kinds of dirt, roughened and brought to its balance.
-The application surface should be made clean from dust, dirt, oil, paint residue, and similar foreign matters reducing adherence.
-If there are broken, loose pieces of adherence on the surface, these pieces should be removed from the surface.
Mixture Preparation:
ADEMIX EPOXY GROUT 888 B component should be added on component A and mixed with a suitable mixer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained at 400-600 rpm. Then, the powder C component should be added slowly over the liquid mixture and mixed until it is homogenous.
Application:
ADEMIX EPOXY GROUT 888 mixture to be used for repair is applied to the surface with a trowel at least 5 mm and at most 50 mm. Before apply the ADEMIX EPOXY GROUT 888 to be used for grout purposes, surface preparation and vibration must be prevented before applying the mixture. The material should be applied in a single layer with a maximum thickness of 50 mm.
In sprout planting, the holes where the sprouts will be planted should be opened in such a way that the diameter of the sprout is 10mm (Ø + 10mm). It should be cleaned with air or brush so that there is no dust inside the holes to prevent sticking. Holes prepared ADEMIX EPOXY GROUT 888 should be filled with and the shoots to be planted should be rotated and placed in the holes. It should be noted that the mortar is applied in a way that it overflows from the holes, and the overflow mortar should be cleaned and the perimeter of the sprout should be corrected.
– Particular attention should be paid to the thickness of the application and the absence of vibration during application.
– The material should be kept at room temperature (23 ± 3 ° C) for 1 day before application. At low temperatures, an increase in consistency can be observed in the material.
-The material should not be mixed with water or solvent.
-The excess material smeared on the surface should be cleaned immediately before it hardens. Otherwise, it will need to be mechanically cleaned.
-The completed application should be protected from heavy weather conditions for 24 hours. (Intense sun, wind, frost, rain, etc.)
-The tools and equipment used should be cleaned with cellulosic thinner or suitable solvent after the application.
Warnings:
All necessary Occupational Health and Safety measures must be taken in the application areas. All work safety equipment such as work clothes, protective gloves/goggles /mask should be used during the application in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety rules. Ventilation of the working area is required. Warehouse and stock areas should not be approached with fire. Contact of the product with the skin and eyes should be prevented, in such a case, the contacted part of the skin should be washed with plenty of water and medical help should be obtained immediately. Food and beverages should also not come into contact with the product. It should be stored away from children.
